The international break has given Leeds United’s players the chance to recharge and reset with Daniel Farke making two changes. Daniel James does return as expected, but it is surprisingly in place of Wilfried Gnonto rather than Manor Solomon.

Joel Piroe also returns to the side as expected, with Mateo Joseph making way. The switches mean Gnonto is absent from a league line-up for the first time this season. The Italian had been struggling for a consistent impact in the matches leading up to the break.

Solomon will be delighted to retain his place, but must start showing some of the ability which Tottenham Hotspur liked so much when they signed him last year. Elsewhere, Largie Ramazani returns from injury to take his place on the bench.

Joe Rodon has picked up four yellow cards this season. He started start today and will have to walk the suspension tightrope from the start of the match. The selection means Rodon is the only player still on for starting every match in all competitions this season for Leeds.

As ever, Alex Cairns is with the squad, but remains off the teamsheet. Today’s referee against the Swans is Dean Whitestone, assisted by Daniel Leach, George Byrne and Oliver Langford (fourth official).

Leeds United: Illan Meslier; Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Sam Byram; Ao Tanaka, Joe Rothwell; Daniel James, Brenden Aaronson, Manor Solomon; Joel Piroe.

Substitutes: Karl Darlow, Patrick Bamford, Largie Ramazani, Mateo Joseph, Josuha Guilavogui, Wilfried Gnonto, James Debayo, Max Wober, Charlie Crew.
