An unbeaten eight-match run and Saturday’s dominant win means Daniel Farke has no need to change anything more than Leeds United’s right-back tonight. Jayden Bogle was missing from the weekend victory through suspension and immediately returns in Sam Byram’s place.

Byram performed well across the two games he covered for Bogle and Junior Firpo, who was suspended at Bristol City, but he was unable to do enough to supplant Farke’s preferred pair. The 31-year-old returns to the bench, where James Debayo drops out of the squad.

Patrick Bamford has recovered from his respective injury and illness of last week. He comes back onto the bench, but Joe Gelhardt remains absent. Sam Chambers, who made his senior debut on Saturday, makes way for the returning number nine.

Joe Rodon and Wilfried Gnonto have picked up four yellow cards this season. They start tonight and will have to walk the suspension tightrope from the start of the match. The selection means Rodon is the only player still on for starting every match in all competitions this season for Leeds.

As ever, Alex Cairns is with the squad, but remains off the teamsheet. Tonight’s referee against the Lions is Leigh Doughty, assisted by Nigel Lugg, Richard Woodward and Andrew Kitchen (fourth official).

Leeds United: Illan Meslier; Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Junior Firpo; Ao Tanaka, Joe Rothwell; Daniel James, Brenden Aaronson, Wilfried Gnonto; Joel Piroe.

Substitutes: Karl Darlow, Patrick Bamford, Manor Solomon, Mateo Joseph, Josuha Guilavogui, Sam Byram, Issac Schmidt, Max Wober, Charlie Crew.
