Leicester City team news v Chelsea as Kasey McAteer starts amid four changes
Kasey McAteer has been handed his first-ever Premier League start with Steve Cooper making four changes to his side to face Chelsea.
Academy graduate McAteer has made six Premier League substitute appearances previously, one under Brendan Rodgers and five this season, but is now in the 11. Jamie Vardy, fit to start up front, also comes in, as do Caleb Okoli and Bilal El Khannouss.
At least two of the changes are enforced. Abdul Fatawu is out for the season and Facundo Buonanotte is suspended and so McAteer and El Khannouss start on the wings, with El Khannouss expected to play an inverted role from the left, with Victor Kristiansen to then advance from left-back on the outside. It means Stephy Mavididi is only on the bench.

Vardy, out with a back injury against Manchester United, is available to lead the line. He comes in for Jordan Ayew, who is on the bench despite suffering an injury on Ghana duty. Patson Daka is also on the bench and could make his first appearance of the season after overcoming injury.
Okoli replaces Jannik Vestergaard at centre-back in the final change. The Dane, who played two lots of 90 minutes for his country over the international break, does not even make the bench.
City (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Winks, Soumare; McAteer, Ndidi, El Khannouss; Vardy. Subs: Ward, Coady, Thomas, Choudhury, Skipp, Mavididi, De Cordova-Reid, Ayew, Daka.
