Leicester City youngster heads out on loan after signing new contract
Young Leicester City defender Tom Wilson-Brown has joined Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock on loan and signed a new contract.
The 20-year-old centre-back heads north of the border for the final few months of the year and for what will be his first proper taste of senior football. He joins a Kilmarnock side currently sat ninth in the Scottish top flight.
But in putting pen to paper on a new deal to 2026 before he leaves, it’s a clear sign that Wilson-Brown’s loan is to help him develop ahead of potential future at the King Power Stadium, rather than to get him ready for a career away from the club. He has been around the City first team for a couple of years and is highly-rated.

He's been involved in pre-season friendlies for a couple of years and then was included in a competitive matchday squad in December. He made the bench for the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.
He will hope for more minutes than midfielder Sammy Braybrooke, who was recalled from Dundee by City after limited opportunities on loan there in the first half of the season. Wilson-Brown's move is the second confirmed deal of deadline day for City, who also loaned out Will Alves to Championship side Cardiff.
