After Lengthy Legal Battle, Rampage Jackson Leaves UFC, Heads Back to Bellator
Following a years long legal battle, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is headed back to Bellator.
Bellator officials revealed the news on Tuesday, stating, “Following an amicable agreement to settle the litigation between the two parties, the always entertaining and exciting Quinton ‘Rampage' Jackson is returning to Bellator.”
Rampage's confusing career situation began when he decided to forego retirement after losing to Glover Teixeira at UFC on FOX 6 and instead inked a multi-party deal with Bellator, Spike, and TNA Wrestling. Rampage won three fights under the Bellator banner before declaring that Bellator had breached his contract, at which point he returned to the UFC.
Bellator filed an injunction, nearly stopping him from fighting again in the Octagon. A judge reversed that decision the week of UFC 186, allowing Rampage to fight and defeat Fabio Maldonado on the pay-per-view card on April 25, 2015.
Bellator drug Rampage back to court following UFC 186, and he hasn't fought since. The whole situation went quiet for the past several months, until Bellator's statement on Tuesday revealing that it had reached an agreement with Rampage's camp.

“Bellator MMA is thrilled to have ‘Rampage,' one of the most recognizable fighters in the history of the sport, joining a very competitive light heavyweight division featuring champion Liam McGeary, Phil Davis, King Mo, Tito Ortiz, Emanuel Newton, Linton Vassell among others.”
No details of the resolution were released, and Rampage has yet to comment on the situation.
