Lennon Miller Celtic and Rangers transfer battle heats up as Liverpool, Man United and others scout Motherwell star
Motherwell are braced for a January bidding war for top talent Lennon Miller.
The midfield sensation has caught the attention of Britain's biggest clubs after a stunning rise to stardom at Fir Park. Miller - the son of ex-Scotland striker Lee - burst onto the first-team scene in 2022 and became Well's youngest ever player aged just 16 and six days.
He's since racked up 55 appearances for the Steelmen and taken his game to another level under Stuart Kettlewell this season. The 18-year-old was handed the captain's armband as he led Motherwell out at Hampden in the recent Premier Sports Cup semi-final defeat to Rangers.

Miller has also produced standout displays against champions Celtic, with Brendan Rodgers singling out the rising star for praise after last month's 3-0 win at Fir Park. The Hoops along with their Old Firm rivals have been keeping close tabs on the teenager's progress and could launch moves when the winter transfer window opens.
But the Glasgow giants could face serious competition from the English Premier League, with Liverpool, Man City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa all scouting the youngster. The Scottish Sun reports that representatives from all clubs watched Miller captain Scotland's Under-19s in Tuesday's 0-0 draw with France at Falkirk - with newly-appointed Gers technical director Nils Koppen spotted in the stands.
Miller is under contract until 2026 and it's believed Motherwell will hold out for at least £4million for the generational talent - eclipsing David Turnbull's club-record £3m switch to Celtic Park in 2020. Miller was unlucky to miss out on his first international call-up earlier this month, with Steve Clarke admitting the playmaker is in his thoughts.
