Lennon Miller 'not interested' in Celtic or Rangers transfer links as Motherwell kid's 'time will come'

Lee Miller has moved to allay Motherwell fan fears by insisting Lennon is NOT interested in leaving the club.

The teenager was watched by Rangers scouts earlier this season, as we at Football Scotland exclusively told you, while Celtic are also well aware of his talents. The 18-year-old burst onto the scene last term with 32 appearances at 17 while he's already turned out nine times this campaign so far and he's expected to have another strong year.

For Dad Lee, though, his boy won't be moving on when the next transfer window opens nor will he even be considering a switch as he knows his best chance of minutes and development is on the first-team pitch at 'Well.

And former Aberdeen striker Lee reckons his boy has a mature head on his shoulders and understands that he has to play early to grow as a talent before reaching for the stars as an ambitious player down the line.

"He’s not interested in going anywhere else right now in terms of he wants to rack up as many games as possible," Miller told PLZ Soccer.

"Yeah, that time will probably come, and he wants to play at the highest level, Lennon. But I go through different scenarios with him all the time. ‘Think if this happened, this could happen’ in different situations.

"And he’s got ambition, he’s got massive ambition, he wants to be a Scottish international, play at the highest level. The way he’s going just now he will do that, but there’s no rush for that, and he understands that as well."
