Barcelona have wasted no time in making the most of the suspension to their ban on signing new players by reportedly agreeing a deal for young Hungarian midfielder Tajti Matyas, reports in Spain have claimed.

Mundo Deportivo says 15-year-old Matyas will join La Masia after choosing Barca over Real Madrid, having graduated from the Ferenc Puskas academy.

Madrid felt their link with the academy would see Matyas move to the capital but the player has plumped for La Blaugrana.

Barca were yesterday given the green light to resume transfer activity after FIFA confirmed the club’s appeal against the transfer ban imposed for irregularities in the signing of foreign under-18s would see the punishment suspended until the full appeal process is carried out.

Alen Halilovic will also join the Barca youth ranks, Mundo Deportivo notes, as will his brother Dino.
