The Franjirrojos defeated Celta Vigo 2-0 on Sunday afternoon thanks to goals from Piti and Andrija Delibasic.
And the Coach has claimed that they can make history come the end of the season.
“We have left everything on the field here,” he said. “The win was very important for our future.
“It allows us to stay in the fight for Europe.
“The first half I thought we were horrible – it was probably the worst we've played. But I am happy about the result.
“We are fighting for history. I do not think Europe is a dream, it is there to be taken.
“We haven't earned anything yet though.”
Celta Vigo boss Abel Resino has claimed that not all is lost in their bid for survival.“There are eight games remaining,” he said. “We have to go to Mallorca in the next game and win.
“Ranting is worthless. Although there are difficulties, we have to remain.
“We had two decent chances, but we couldn't get the equalizer. My players have to learn how to handle these concerns.
“If we are afraid [of relegation] we will not achieve anything.”
