Tata Martino’s side were beaten 1-0 by Granada at the weekend to slip to third in the table, four points behind leaders Atletico Madrid.
“In football people make knee jerk reactions after every match,” Laudrup has told the media.
“You still have to say Barca have a chance in the title race, everything can change in two weeks.
“When things aren’t going well it’s very easy to look at the dugout and say whose fault it is.
“The last results haven’t been good but I don’t think you can put all the blame on the Coach.”
The former Swansea City manager then looked ahead to Wednesday’s Copa Del Rey final between Barca and another of his old clubs, Real Madrid.
“The final is not at home or away so it’s completely open. Barca can redeem themselves by winning.
“It won’t be easy though as in front of them are their arch-rivals. I hope we see a spectacle like the last Clasico.
“It’s very complicated when you discuss Messi. He is the best player in the world and one of the best ever.
“In the most recent matches he hasn’t been at his best. But people were saying that before the last Clasico and then he came back to score a hat-trick and get one assist.”
