The fan who allegedly threw the banana has already had his Villarreal membership withdrawn and been banned from El Madrigal for life.
Villarreal have offered their apologies to Alves, who responded to the banana being thrown by taking a bite from it and sparking an internet trend of players being pictured eating bananas in support of the Brazil defender.
Alves hit out on Tuesday at Spain for being "very backward" in its approach towards racism and wanted the fan who hurled a banana on the pitch to be publicly shamed - as well as saying the world governing body should be more proactive.
"FIFA must concentrate on things more important than La Masia. They need to give their attention to more serious things," he said, referring to the recent verdict that Barcelona were guilty of breaching regulations over the transfer of underage players.
