While various reports indicated the San Jose Earthquakes, coached by former Chivas manager Matias Almeyda, were the most likely club to sign Pulido to a designated player deal, ESPN Mexico reports the Chicago Fire have an offer on the table.

Cristante a candidate for San Luis

Former Toluca manager Hernan Cristante is one of the candidates to take over Atletico San Luis' coaching vacancy, according to ESPN Mexico .

Eduardo "Chaco" Coudet also is a candidate, but the former Racing and Tijuana coach is more interested in taking over Brazilian club Internacional.

Mexican clubs seeking Chilean star's signature

Three Mexican clubs are looking to sign Chilean forward Ignacio Jeraldino from Aduax Italiano, his agent said.

A report earlier this fall said America, Pachuca and Cruz Azul all were interested in "Jeraldios," but Sergio Morales told reporters Cruz Azul is not one of the clubs with whom he has had contact. The player also reportedly has generated looks from clubs in Spain and Italy.

Gudino could make Europe return

The television network reports Atlas defender Alejandro Gomez is getting interest from European teams, with clubs in France, Italy and England expressing interest in the left-footed player. Eugenio Pizzuto, the Pachuca midfielder who won the bronze ball, and Santos Laguna forward Santiago Munoz also are candidates to move abroad.

Victor Guzman could secure Chivas swap

Victor Guzman will join Chivas ahead of the 2020 Clausura, according to MedioTiempo.

The former Chivas youth player will look to make his first-team debut next year after a successful stint with Pachuca. His current teammate Erick Aguirre also will arive, with both players waiting only on the final sign off from new sporting director Ricardo Pelaez.

Tuzos sporting director Marco Garces told TUDN that the club would be listening to offers for the 24-year-old.

Rafa Puente Jr. to return to bench

Rafa Puente Jr., former manager of Lobos BUAP and Queretaro, is a candidate for a number of coaching jobs.

America midfielder Sebastian Cordova is drawing attention from a number of European teams including Benfica, according to A Bola .

However, if Benfica is going to make Cordova the first Mexican to play at the club since Raul Jimenez, it is said it will have to fight off interest from Sevilla and Manchester United. Olympique Marseille manager Andre Villas-Boas is looking for defensive help this winter and may have personally contacted Tigres center back Carlos Salcedo, according to various reports .

With OM's defense hurting, the 26-year-old Mexico international may be an attractive option giving his proven European success with Eintracht Frankfurt and Fiorentina and his versatility in playing center back or either fullback slot. Salcedo's Tigres teammate Andre-Pierre Gignac is an OM legend.
