Thiago Silva has told those close to him that he wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join Barcelona, claims Marca.

The Madrid-based newspaper believe that the Brazilian centre-back is desperate to move to the Blaugrana, with Dani Alves and Tito Vilanova both personally asking the defender to sign.

Silva would have, according to the paper, put pen-to-paper with the Camp Nou club last season, but already had a gentleman's agreement with PSG director Leonardo.

The 28-year-old feels he has honoured that now though, and wants to leave for Barca. The departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid is also a factor in his thinking.

The French side's owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already claimed that Thiago Silva will not be sold.

Reports in the Spanish press have once again claimed that Barcelona will bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz.

The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou this summer, with Tito Vilanova’s side sending scouts to the Confederations Cup to watch the centre-back.

Mundo Deportivo believe that the Camp Nou club were deeply impressed by the 26-year-old’s performances at the tournament and will look to make a bid later this month.

The Catalan paper insist that the Blaugrana are also hoping to replicate Luiz’s international partnership with Thiago Silva in La Liga, by bidding for the Paris Saint-Germain defender as well.

Luiz could be available for around €35m.

Representatives from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will meet next week to negotiate a deal for David Villa.

undo Deportivo believe that the striker held talks with the capital club last Thursday near his hometown of Llangreu.

It is not clear how close the 31-year-old and Diego Simeone’s men are to agreeing a contract.

But the Barcelona-based newspaper insist the Rojiblancos will discuss a deal with the Blaugrana later next week.

Villa has been heavily linked with a move away from Camp Nou this summer, with Tottenham and Arsenal also said to be interested.

With Real Sociedad’s Asier Illaramendi on the verge of a move to Real Madrid, reports in the British press have claimed that Xabi Alonso could join Chelsea.

And the Daily Star believes that the 23-year-old's arrival could spell the end for the former Liverpool man's time at Santiago Bernabeu.

As such, former Madrid Coach Jose Mourinho wants to bring his ex-player to the Premier League side.

The Portuguese tactician relied heavily on the Spain international during his three-year tenure in the capital.

He had already been linked with a £10m move to former club Liverpool.

Despite stories on Saturday claiming that Manchester City will make a move for Pepe, Marca believe that Real Madrid are keen to keep the Portuguese defender.

The Sun insisted yesterday that Manuel Pellegrini’s men were looking to bid for the Real Madrid centre-back in the hope of bolstering up their backline.

The Madrid-based newspaper though, believes that Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to keep the 30-year-old and will likely reject any bids to come in.

Levante have put Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh at the top of their wish-list for the summer.

Marca claim that the Granotes are keen to bring the Morocco international to Ciutat de Valencia as they look to replace Obafemi Martins, who left in January for the Seattle Sounders.

The 29-year-old has struggled to force his way into the Premier League side’s starting XI since his arrival in 2010.

Chamakh has only played 40 times for Arsene Wenger’s men in the League, scoring eight goals.

He could be available for a fee of around €4m.
