The giant Swede has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Manchester City, particularly after Edinson Cavini joined in a £55m deal from Napoli.

"We read every summer that I'm going to play for all the clubs in Europe," he said at a training camp in Sweden.

"This is done to sell papers. I control the situation and I know what will happen.

"I have not met [Al-Khelaïfi yet this summer] and I want to develop some things. We talk about everything… we often talk.”

Ibrahimovic, who finished as top scorer in Ligue 1 last season, said Cavani seems "a very good reinforcement".

"We'll see. I’ve never played with him before,” he said. “He must get used to the team, the players, the stadium, the fans.”

Cavani has seemingly been bought as a direct reaction to Monaco’s £52m capture of Falcao from Atletico Madrid.

City have sold Carlos Tevez to Juventus while Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain is wanted by a number of clubs in England and Italy.
