Lisandro Martinez has already made Man United future stance clear amid Real Madrid link
Lisandro Martinez acknowledged that there is already an "instant connection" with new Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim - amid reported transfer interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Martinez, 26, has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at United - with the club having an option to extend that deal by another 12 months. But that has reputedly not dissuaded those two teams from preparing to make a move to sign the ever-popular 26-cap central defender.
Radio station talkSPORT claimed United could even sell the player - should something materialise - because they allegedly do not consider the Argentina international untouchable. However, Caught Offside have since reported that the club intends to extend the player's contract rather than cash-in, with him still in their long-term plans.

Martinez has, meanwhile, offered insight into his opinions on the changes at United since Amorim's appointment and sounded positive about his future. Speaking particularly about the new head coach's style of football, he told the United most-recent matchday programme last Saturday evening: "It's the way I like to play, the way of playing football; the passion, the energy."
"You know, if you have that with me, it's like you connect quickly. He [Amorim] has many, many good things.
"I think he demands what the club demands, which is good.
"I like his passion, his energy, the way he wants to play - good in possession, in defending. I think he's good - also the staff, the energy around [the place], it [has been] so good, yeah."
On the 3-4-3 formation specifically, Martinez explained: "It's with three in the back but, during the game, you have principles. Sometimes you are with four at the back, you are sometimes with five.
"It depends how they attack, how we attack, how we are in defence. But yeah, I like it.
"I like the intensity; I like the energy. I like, for example, how he [Amorim] wants to play in possession and without possession as well. So, yeah, I feel great in this system."
