Amy Coney Barrett confirmation hearings: A recap of day 4

The fourth and final day of confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett wrapped up on Capitol Hill Thursday with testimony from outside witnesses both for and against her confirmation. Barrett herself was not present. Witnesses speaking out against it gave personal accounts in favor of abortion rights and the Affordable Care Act, while those speaking in favor attested to the 48-year-old judge’s character. The Senate Judiciary Committee set an Oct. 22 date to recommend Barrett’s confirmation and send it to the full Senate for a vote by month's end.
