Liverpool will be an active player in the summer transfer market. With new coach Arne slot arriving and also a new sporting director in Richard Hughes, it's more than likely that the Reds will sign a couple of players in the coming months.

However, considering the club's strong finish to 2023/24, there's no need to be making sweeping changes to the squad. Only a few tweaks are needed to build from Jürgen Klopp's final campaign in charge of the club. Evolution, rather than revolution, will be the name of the game this summer, and a position Liverpool could be looking to strengthen is in attack.

As a result, the club is being linked with a move for Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze. That's according to TBR Football who state that Liverpool will face competition from Tottenham for the 25-year-old. Eze ended the season strongly and helped Palace to secure a mid-table finish.

Eze ended the 2023/24 campaign with 11 goals and four assists from 27 appearances in the Premier League, and his form in the final third of the campaign hasn't gone unnoticed by several of the bigger teams in the league, who could now be eyeing a move for Eze.

Palace is demanding a figure in the region of $76m (£60m/€70m) to let Eze go this summer, and the London side won't give any discounts. Moreover, it wants the full fee up front, and doesn't want staggered payments or counterparts inserted into the deal to bring down the price.

Eze signed an extension last summer which, according to The Daily Express, contains a release clause of $76m (£60m/€70m). The Express believes that Liverpool could trigger the release clause in order to fend off competition from Spurs, and to save the Reds time by not getting drawn into a bidding war.

Eze will play at Euro 2024 this summer, and it's likely that any deal may have to wait until the competition is over on July 14 to happen. Eze joined Palace from QPR in 2020, and has made 124 appearances for the South London club in all competitions, scoring 26 goals. says: Eze was in tremendous form for Palace in the second half of last season, and Liverpool could very much end up buying an attacker this summer, but it remains to be seen if they would want to meet Palace's asking price, or trigger his release clause. Should he sparkle in the Euros, the list of suitors will only grow, but his injury history would be a concern.
