Liverpool will be fully aware of Federico Chiesa transfer truth ahead of six-week audition
Another day has passed and yet more rumours concerning Federico Chiesa's future at Liverpool has emerged. The Italy international's future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks as the January transfer window moves ever closer.
Chiesa was signed by Liverpool in August after agreeing a £12.5million deal with Juventus. The Reds signed the player with the hope that he could revive the form that saw him light up the European Championships with Italy three years ago.
Injuries and a change in manager eventually led to Chiesa leaving Turin in favour of a move to Liverpool. Just three months after signing for the Reds, rumours are already emerging that he could be on the move once again.

According to Tuttosport, Inter Milan are exploring a deal to try and sign Chiesa in January. While the fee involved has not been mentioned in the report, it has been suggested that any move would be permanent rather than a loan.
Chiesa has made just three appearances for Liverpool since moving to Anfield in the summer. The Reds have been working hard to build up the 27-year-old's fitness after not having a full pre-season at Juventus before he moved to Merseyside.
Arne Slot admitted it was a "far from ideal" situation for both Chiesa and Liverpool. Chiesa's lack of availability combined with the injury to Diogo Jota has meant that Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez have all been forced to play more minutes.
Liverpool handed Chiesa a four-year contract when he arrived from Juventus last summer, so the club will hope to get much more for their investment over the length of the deal. It's still early in the Italy international's Anfield career, but if an offer is presented to the Reds by Inter in the New Year then it could force some difficult conversations to be had.
It's almost certain that Liverpool would demand a fee well above the £12.5million they paid Juventus. And it would likely take a sizeable offer to even force the Reds to even consider letting the player leave just six months into a four-year deal.
Regardless, the next six weeks before the January transfer window opens will give Chiesa the chance to prove his fitness over the busy Christmas period. If he can get back into the matchday squad and help the team stay at the top of the Premier League table as well as succeed in the Champions League, then it will mean the chances of a January departure becomes even more unlikely than it currently stands.
