Situated in Clayton Square right in the middle of the city, Liverpool’s Live Site is in the shopping hub and a perfect location for enjoying the Games. Fans can pitch up and enjoy a summer picnic in the square thanks to the endless food and drink options available in the surrounding area.
The Diamond Jubilee, Euro 2012 and Wimbledon are just some of the events that have been enjoyed on the big screen in the lead-up to the Games, and sports fans in Liverpool can now look forward to all the Olympic action which starts with the Opening Ceremony on July 27.
The Olympic Torch passed through Liverpool at the start of June and sparked the city’s Olympic buzz, which will now continue with the Live Site at Clayton Square.
Of course there will be further celebrations in Olympic ‘Live Sites’ in numerous locations across the UK, including the London sites, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Newcastle and Plymouth amongst the communities also joining the London 2012 party.
