Liverpool restaurants: The 19 best places to eat according to BBC Good Food including Manifest and Bundobust

Liverpool is a haven of incredible restaurants, street food markets and cafes, with a range of options suitable for all ages, tastes and dietary requirements. But, it can be tricky to decide where to dine if you’re visiting the city for a short amount of time.
To make the task a little easier, BBC Good Food’s Tony Naylor dined across the city, and has named his favourite restaurants, ranging from fine dining venues to eateries perfect for cheap eats with the kids.
From The Art School Restaurant to Bundobust, here are BBC Good Food’s top Liverpool restaurants.

Wreckfish offers affordable, fancy dining with a range of options suitable for vegans too. Tony Naylor said it’s best for causal dining and special occasions. He added: “A Georgian building, stylishly revived in muted greys, exposed brick and handsome dark wood furnishings, houses Twitter legend Gary Usher’s Wreckfish. Etsu is a contemporary dining room, serving up Japanese dishes and sushi. Tony Naylor said it’s best for cheap eats and casual dining. He added: “his is food of rare freshness, clarity and depth of flavour. Staples such as panko-crumbed tonkatsu pork, karaage fried chicken and udon noodle soups take on a renewed vigour, while the lunchtime bento boxes (try the crisp-skinned pan-fried sea bass) are lifted by vibrant pickles and sauces."
