Liverpool set for $75m scouting trip for two transfer targets during PSG Champions League match

Liverpool scouts will be keeping a close eye on Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League meeting with Girona on Wednesday night, with two of the Spanish side's players reportedly on the Reds' radar.

It's claimed by CaughtOffside that Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez are both being monitored by a number of Premier League clubs after impressing for the City Football Group-owned side.

Attacking midfielder Tsygankov and left-back Gutierrez are both set to start for Girona in its Champions League opener against PSG at the Parc des Princes.

The report states that Arne Slot isn't the only manager of an English club in the Champions League who is interested in the pair, with Aston Villa boss Unai Emery and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta also said to be admirers.

The summer transfer window closed just under three weeks ago but Girona is said to be willing to entertain offers for both players when the January window opens.

It's claimed that the combined fee for both players could be around €70-75million ($78-84m), and Tsygankov and Gutierrez are both said to be interested in moving to the Premier League.

Tsygankov played 30 times for Girona in La Liga last term, scoring eight goals and registering seven assists, and has started this season encouragingly, with a goal and an assist to his name in four La Liga appearances.

Girona is appearing in the Champions League for the first time in the club's history after finishing third in La Liga last term, registering 81 points under manager Michel.
