Liverpool is still yet to hear from Arne Slot following his official start date at the beginning of the month. In the meantime, there's a seemingly endless slew of transfer gossip to keep up the entertainment, as well as some international fixtures, as teams gear up for the major tournaments of the summer.

The Euros are now less than a fortnight away, but one Liverpool player could be fearing for his chances after missing the latest matchday squad, having not trained this week. Meanwhile, though Aaron Ramsdale is currently busy on England duty, his club future could end up having ramifications at Anfield. Here's your round-up of the latest Liverpool news.

Ben Doak not in Scotland squad

Liverpool youngster Ben Doak was a surprise inclusion in Scotland's provisional squad for Euro 2024. He has not featured for the Reds at any level in months, with MCL surgery in December having ended his club campaign very prematurely.

But with Steve Clarke only naming 28 players initially, and Lyndon Dykes later withdrawing through injury, Doak looked a good bet to make the final 26. However, further injury questions were raised on Monday evening.

Clarke had said that Doak should be available to feature off the bench against Gibraltar. But come kick-off, he was not even named among the substitutes.

According to Jack Lusby, Doak missed Scotland training this week as a 'precaution' before his exclusion from the squad. He remains 'in contention' for the Euros. And manager Clarke has since confirmed the winger 'had a little reaction' to two days' worth of training, and was left out as a result.

Doak is yet to make his senior Scotland debut, with his next potential chance coming against Finland on June 7. In his absence, his teammates beat Gibraltar 2-0.

Aaron Ramsdale and Caoimhin Kelleher in demand

Liverpool backup goalkeeper extraordinaire Caoimhin Kelleher looks likely to be on the move this summer. The Irish stopper has spoken more openly than before about the possibility of moving on in order to be a regular elsewhere, and there's not going to be a shortage of interest in his services.

But in goal, there's generally a one-in, one-out policy, so it's a position where one move can trigger a whole sequence. As well as Kelleher, it's likely that Aaron Ramsdale will seek a new club, having been relegated to second-choice at Arsenal by David Raya.

According to TeamTalk, Wolves are keen on Kelleher, should Jose Sa get the transfer away that he is seeking. But they are also 'keeping a close eye' on Ramsdale, in a move which could scupper one route to a first-choice berth at a Premier League side for the Liverpool man.

Both Ramsdale and Kelleher have the quality to be starting for a good proportion of the division. But only time will tell where they end up, and both may need to wait for movement elsewhere first.
