Borussia Dortmund are preparing to offer Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid midfield target Jude Bellingham a huge record-breaking contract to prevent him from leaving this summer, TEAMtalk understands.

Bellingham is enjoying another top season with Dortmund in the German top flight. According to WhoScored, he has been Dortmund’s best player in the league this campaign, as they have given him an average rating of 7.46.

He has so far registered more shots, dribbles and tackles per game than any other Dortmund player. He is also in second place when it comes to assists and interceptions per game.

The variety of these statistics show Bellingham has the ability to do pretty much anything a coach may ask of him. And his achievements are even more impressive given the fact he is only 19 years old.

Liverpool have been clamouring for his signature for several months now. Jurgen Klopp views the Englishman as the ideal player to kickstart his midfield revamp and get the Reds back to the summit of English and European football.

But City and Real are also pushing hard to snare Bellingham from Dortmund. Amid all the swirling transfer rumours, TEAMtalk has been told the latest information when it comes to Bellingham’s future.

The teenager is approaching decision time, with four options currently on the table.

TEAMtalk understands Liverpool, City and Real have all spoken to the player. They have put their respective cases forward to the star, his family and his representatives. All three major European sides believe they are in with a firm chance of landing him.

Dortmund hoping to prevent Jude Bellingham departure

However, that does depend on whether he leaves Dortmund. The German side have made it clear they would like to keep him for another year.

Dortmund have Bellingham under contract to 2025. They have told him they will not stand in his way this summer, but only if their huge valuation is met. They have put his price tag at a massive €150million (£130m), which is a big ask for any of his potential suitors.

Of course, there is also the option of Bellingham staying. And Dortmund are planning a bumper new contract which would make him their best-paid player of all time.

While Bellingham staying at Dortmund for an extra year by penning fresh terms would be a major blow for Liverpool, City and Real, it will not be the end of the transfer race.

His new contract would include a release clause worth much less than £130m. This would allow either Liverpool, City or Real to get him at an affordable price in summer 2024.

Dortmund are true to their word as this is what happened with Erling Haaland, who moved to City for £51m last summer.

Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand has torn into Liverpool after what he saw in the aftermath of their 7-0 demolition of Manchester United.
