Liverpool team news vs Nottingham Forest confirmed as Federico Chiesa decision made
Arne Slot has named an unchanged side this afternoon as Liverpool returns to action in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest.
The Reds are looking to extend their perfect record this season following the international break, having won all three of their games without conceding a goal. Slot has a nearly fully-fit squad to choose from at the moment, with Harvey Elliott the only senior player out injured.
The 21-year-old suffered a fractured foot while on England U21 duty, and is expected to be out until late October. Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones are available though, with the latter having been a doubt after missing training with Argentina last week, while the former returned to training this week after missing the previous two games.

With the games coming thick and fast over the next few weeks, Slot will have to utilize his squad, meaning there will be opportunities for more players after the Dutchman has largely stuck with the same side during the opening weeks.
A trip to AC Milan awaits on Tuesday, and that – coupled with players returning from international duties – might have left Slot tempted to make changes to his side this afternoon, but he has elected to stick with the same side that started the last two games against Brentford and Manchester United.
That means Mac Allister does indeed start despite those slight fitness concerns last week. He once again lines up with Dominik Szoboszlai and the in-form Ryan Gravenberch in midfield.
Ibrahima Konate partners Virgil van Dijk in defense again, and will be looking for a boost after a disappointing international break with France. Trent Alexander-Arnold, on the other hand, will be aiming to continue the fine form he showed for England.
In attack, it's as you were with Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah carrying the threat. Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo are left waiting for their first starts of the season.
Meanwhile, Federico Chiesa will have to wait a little while longer to get his opportunity, having not been named in the matchday squad. Jones though returns to the bench after his short spell out injured.
Liverpool confirmed starting XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota.
Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Endo, Nunez, Jones, Gakpo, Tsimikas, Quansah, Bradley.
