Liverpool team vs Nottingham Forest predicted as Darwin Nunez starts amid Alexis Mac Allister call
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has some major decisions to make as the Premier League returns today. Nottingham Forest is set to come to Anfield with the Reds hoping to increase their 100 per cent record under the Dutchman.
Slot is likely to name a similar starting XI to the ones that beat Ipswich Town, Brentford and then Manchester United, but there are some swaps that we could see. There is a decision to make over South American duo Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister, for example, with the pair having done plenty of traveling in the last fortnight.
At the back, Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was brilliant for England this week, is set to start at right-back, with Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk in front of Alisson Becker. Jarell Quansah is another option if Konate is saved for Tuesday's trip to AC Milan in the Champions League, while Andy Robertson is a likely starter at left-back.

In the Liverpool midfield, Ryan Gravenberch is almost certain to be the number six given the form he has been in. The Netherlands star was brilliant for his country and has begun the club season in superb form.
Mac Allister's minutes were managed by Argentina, however, and Curtis Jones is now back fit again. It is possible that the Scouser comes into the side for his first competitive minutes under Slot. Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to keep his place.
In the forward line, while Federico Chiesa starting can probably be ruled out, he could make his Liverpool debut from the bench. Mohamed Salah should start on the right, but Diaz has done a lot of flying this week so Cody Gakpo could get a chance down the left with the Colombian saved for a start in Europe.
Likewise, Darwin Nunez could come in as the number nine for Diogo Jota. The Uruguayan, because of his international ban, stayed back on Merseyside while his teammates were jetting off all over the globe. He should, therefore, be fresher and raring to go.
Liverpool predicted team vs Nottingham Forest: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Jones; Salah, Nunez, Gakpo.
