Liverpool transfer latest as Stefan Bajcetic 'eyed' and forward close to exit
Celta Vigo are reportedly eyeing an ambitious loan move for Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic before next week's transfer deadline. The Spaniard joined the Reds from the La Liga outfit in 2020.
Bajcetic initially joined up with Liverpool's under-18s side after moving to Anfield but was quickly fast-tracked to the first team and earned his first taste of Premier League football in August 2022.
The 2022-23 season would turn out to be a breakthrough campaign for the midfielder as he made 11 Premier League appearances for the Reds, as well as featuring in the Champions League four times before suffering a season-ending injury in March.

Since then, the 19-year-old has only played for Liverpool three times, once in the Premier League, as he was sidelined with a string of injuries in Jurgen Klopp's final season in charge.
However, in a bid to get his career back on track and put his injuries behind him, Galician newspaper Faro de Vigo report that Celta Vigo are hoping to take Bajcetic on loan for the 2023-24 season.
It is stated, though, that the La Liga outfit would need to offload several players first before they would be able to make a move to re-sign Bajcetic and, most importantly, agree to play him in central midfield rather than defence.
Despite progressing through Celta Vigo's academy, Bajcetic never appeared for the first team before sealing a move to Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Liverpool under-21s forward Harvey Blair is reportedly close to sealing a £300,000 move to Championship new boys Portsmouth.
That's according to The Athletic, who claim the 20-year-old has been given permission by the Reds to negotiate personal terms with John Mousinho's side.
Blair, who joined Liverpool from Manchester United in his youth days, featured heavily for the Reds during the recent pre-season tour of the United States.
His first and only competitive appearance for the club came in a League Cup tie against Preston North End in October 2021.
