Liverpool transfer news as Aurelien Tchouameni chance ‘emerges’ and Chelsea star ‘wanted’
Aurelien Tchouameni is reportedly increasingly likely to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season amid links with Liverpool.
There has been speculation around Tchouameni's Liverpool future for some time now, with suggestions that Madrid chiefs have lost faith in the French midfielder, who the club signed for a huge fee in 2022.
Tchouameni's plight worsened on Tuesday night when he conceded a penalty during Madrid's 3-2 victory over Atalanta in the Champions League.
Liverpool was interested in Tchouameni when Jurgen Klopp was in charge, reportedly getting as far as agreeing personal terms with the player in 2022, but he opted to join Madrid from Monaco instead.

Links to Liverpool have continued this season despite Klopp no longer being at the club. Spanish outlet Fichajes says Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are all interested in the France international..
A place for Tchouameni in Liverpool's squad could open up at the end of the season if Wataru Endo leaves the club. Endo is contracted to Liverpool until 2027 but has barely played under Arne Slot and could look to leave in search of regular game time.
Meanwhile, Liverpool is reportedly considering a surprise swoop for Malo Gusto as a possible replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Gusto has proved himself to be a brilliant right-back at Chelsea, shining in the absence of Reece James, and journalist Simon Phillips claims that Liverpool and Manchester City are both interested in potentially signing him.
Understandably, Chelsea reportedly has no intention of selling Gusto, and given he is contracted to the Stamford Bridge club until 2030, getting a deal done would be difficult.
Liverpool's preference would be to tie Trent Alexander-Arnold down to a new contract amid interest from Real Madrid, but he will be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January 1 onwards, and it is sensible for the Reds to be making contingency plans.
