Liverpool willing to sell Ryan Gravenberch according to unbelievable transfer report
Liverpool is reportedly prepared to go head to head with Manchester United and Manchester City for Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been playing a starring role for Atalanta in Serie A so far this season, alerting a host of top clubs to his ability.
Ederson was part of the Atalanta team that won the Europa League last season, and he has been a mainstay so far this term, with Atalanta currently up in second place in Serie A.
It is claimed that both Manchester clubs have held talks with Ederson's camp, while discussions with Liverpool have also taken place, and the player is said to be interested in moving to the Premier League.
According to TeamTalk, it will take a bid of at least $63million to convince Atalanta to sell the player during the January transfer window, with the club understandably not keen on seeing a key player leave mid-way through a season it is performing well in.
Ederson is contracted to Atalanta until 2027, so the Italian club is under no pressure to sell at this moment in time.
Meanwhile, a story that was published on Thursday and should probably not be taken too seriously claims that Liverpool is willing to part with Ryan Gravenberch plus cash in order to land Aurelien Tchouameni.
The notoriously unreliable Fichajes (a lot people will have just stopped reading) says that Tchouameni has not proved that he is a Real Madrid quality player since moving to the Bernabeu in 2022, and that there is a desire within the club for him to be moved on.
The report says that Liverpool would have to pay Madrid between $21million and $32million and also hand Gravenberch over, in order to get a deal for Tchouameni over the line.
It's fair to say that the chances of that one happening are very slim to zero, so Liverpool fans needn't worry about the prospect of the Dutchman leaving any time soon.
