Love Island winner Sanam Harrinanan says she can’t return to social work job

Love Island winner Sanam Harrinanan has revealed that she cannot return to her day job following her victory on the show.

The reality star was recently named as the winner of the latest series of the ITV2 show alongside Kai Fagan, though before entering the villa, Sanam had a job as a social worker.

However, in a new interview with Heat, the star suggested that she may not be able to go back to that line of work as she doesn’t think she'll "be able to".

"I've got a meeting about it this week with my social work manager because I want to be able to use this platform to help children locally," she explained.

"And then we [me and Kai] spoke about doing stuff afterwards. We can't go directly into it but we can use our platforms to do something."

Kai, who worked as PE teacher before the villa, went on to say of his own job: "I still want to do the same thing I was doing but in a different capacity, but it's just finding out what that capacity is and how I can do it.

"Everything is so hectic at the minute, but once everything has slowed down then that's when we can really step away and have a think about what we're doing to do and how we're going to do it."

Following their victory, Kai shared a romantic declaration to Sanam on social media, writing: "I have honestly fallen head over heels for her (if you can't tell) and wanted to keep certain intimate things between us for the first time before we tell the world, just so we can saviour the moment more.

"This one is a big one for me and I mean this with my full heart. I LOVE YOU TOO SANAM."

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
