Lucas Leiva Blasts Liverpool Journalist on Twitter Amid Transfer Speculation

Lucas Leiva seems to have finally had enough of the transfer speculation surrounding him this summer - after he sent a stinging tweet to Liverpool Echo journalist James Pearce on Tuesday.

Pearce was reporting that the Brazilian midfielder was all set to stay at the club this summer after months of talk linking him with a switch to Turkish giants Galatasaray, but Lucas now seems to have had quite enough of the apparent uncertainty over his future.

The report Pearce was pushing claimed that manager Jurgen Klopp wanted to keep Lucas at the club and instead offload Mamadou Sakho on loan, with the report stating: "Klopp blocked a potential transfer to Galatasaray for the Brazilian midfielder earlier this month after insisting he needed him to stay put.

"Unless Lucas pushes for a move prior to next week’s deadline then he will remain at Anfield for the final year of his existing contract."

Pearce's tweet of the link was responded to by the Brazilian minutes later, and he replied seemingly with the idea that the constant reporting was turning Liverpool fans against him.

He wrote: "Can you have more responsibility when you involve my name? You putting me against the fans for something I've nothing to do."

Jurgen Klopp isn't the only one anxiously waiting for the end of the transfer window, one would think.
