Just 24 hours earlier Felix Loch and Natalie Geisenberger had claimed victories, joined on the podium by compatriots David Moeller, Tatjana Huefner and Anke Wischnewski as Germany made their dominance felt.

And they were in no mood to let up on Sunday as world silver medallists Eggert and Benecken improved on their second-place finish in the World Cup opener in Lillehammer to take doubles gold this time around.

The duo came home in 1:21.016 minutes to edge out compatriots Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt, with Austrian pair Peter Penz and Georg Fischler coming third.

Eggert and Benecken and Wendl and Arlt now find themselves joint top of the World Cup standings on 185 points with Austria's Andreas and Wolfgang Linger third on 125.

However Eggert and Benecken weren't done their as they returned to the track to help Germany claim team relay gold.

Joined by Geisenberger and Loch Germany came home in 2:11.798 for the win, with Canada and Italy second and third respectively.
