Luis Palma in apparent Celtic snub as winger opts out of watching Tynecastle rout
Luis Palma appeared to snub his own teammates as he opted not to watch their Tynecastle demolition of Hearts.
The Honduras winger has split opinion amongst Celtic fans for some time now but some felt he could be close to earning another opportunity to impress. Over the international break, the 24-year-old bagged a game-winning double against Mexico, potentially showing his value and earning him another crack and nailing down some first-team minutes in Brendan Rodgers’ side.
However, the attacker wasn’t in the match-day squad for their Scottish Premiership meeting with Hearts and instead appeared to pick the match between Argentine side Racing Club and Brazil's Cruzeiro in the Copa Sudamericana for his evening’s entertainment. The caption was innocuous enough, saying “Sabado” which translates to Saturday, but plenty of Celtic fans were left fuming at his very public snub.

One Celtic fan wrote on X, “Sending a message that he’s as interested when he’s not playing as he is when he’s playing,” with another saying “He’s so gone in January.”
Speaking last month, Rodgers said: "It's one of those ones where all players want to play. But I'm only really concentrating on this next period. We've got a really busy period through until January. I know I'll need all the players.
"It's just about not forcing it. Sometimes the thing with wingers is, when other players are in the team and scoring and creating goals, you feel you really want to come in and force it a little bit. Sometimes that's what's happened with Luis. He's a very good technician, and when he plays for the team and works hard and presses well, then he can be a really good player.
"It's going to be the case where there's not going to be 11 players who are going to claim to play in every single game. But as long as we're getting performances from players that are coming in then that's what's important."
