Luis Palma has dropped a cryptic "resilience" message on Instagram following criticism from Celtic fans about his form.

The attacker had an off day at Parkhead in Sunday's Premier Sports Cup quarter-final tie with Falkirk which left some supporters questioning their star. It came in the aftermath of their 5-2 victory on the day where Palma's replacement, Yang - another fringe player in recent weeks - put in a shift and could've scored on another day.

Now the Honduran has taken to social media to send a clear point to those doubters as he plans to make up for his recent loss of form under Brendan Rodgers.

He shared: "Resilience. That's why you're going to get ahead in life, because despite any adversity, you find the positive side and you start working forward." The message was translated from Spanish.

Punters took to social media to make their own feelings known on the 24-year-old's note as they urged him to get back to doing what he can do on the pitch and not speaking out on socials.

One said: "Less time posting more time training," as one added: "Starting to sound like Shushburger," referencing former Rangers star and regular Instagram poster Todd Cantwell.

One commented: "Brendan sent Haksabanovic to Stoke for less", as a fourth wrote: "He needs to worry about working back and forward."
