Luke Littler has suffered more World Series anguish.

The 18-year-old sat on top of the sport at the start of the month having claimed a first-ever World Championship title.

However, it’s now back-to-back bomb-outs for The Nuke after he was sunk by Stephen Bunting at the Dutch Darts Masters.

Littler was disappointed on his first outing since winning the biggest tournament of the lot when despatched at the last-eight stage of the first World Series event in Bahrain eight days ago by Gerwyn Price.

The youngster headed for Holland looking to make amends, but was sent packing early again as he lost a deciding leg to Bunting in the semi-finals.

Littler looked to be heading into the Final as led The Bullet 3-1 following his quarter-final success over big rival Michael van Gerwen.

But Bunting roared back to claim another major success in his own ascending career and wipe the kid out of the Den Bosch event.

Littler’s next chance to get his hands on another trophy in 2025 comes at the Winmau World Masters, which begins in Milton Keynes on Wednesday.
