Matt Lund has rejoined Bristol Rovers on loan following a successful stay last season.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who returns to the club from Barclays Premier League side Stoke, linked up with the rest of the squad in training on Wednesday.
"It's taken a while to get to this point, but he's a player who finished last season strongly and I think it's important that this time around we play to his strengths," boss Mark McGhee told the club's official website.
"He scored twice in his final home game and is a player who makes those runs forward and someone who can score goals and that's what we need to try to get out of him.
"He could be a key player for us from midfield because of the goals he has in him."
