Edible flowers are just about the cutest things ever. They spruce up a summer salad no end, they take simple cakes up a gear, and they add a touch of class to cocktails.

But they’re not usually that easy to get hold of. I mean, would you look for them in a florist? Or a greengrocer?

Well lucky for us, Marks & Spencer has started selling edible flowers for cakes, cocktails and everything in between! M&S’s British Edible Viola Flowers come from a small family-owned business in Evesham, Worcestershire and have been hand-picked to ensure you don’t end up with any brown, smooshed flowers. No one wants to find one of those in their cocktails, now do they?

We first heard about M&S’s edible flowers when @newfoodsuk shared a photo of them on Instagram.

Judging by the photo, you’ll find them in the salad section of the store. Not by the flowers, just in case that’s what you were thinking…

A lot of people are commenting on the post; saying how these are “a bit of them”, or how excited they are to use them to “level up their G&Ts”. We could not be more on board with that if we tried.

There’s no denying it – this is a sure-fire way to impress friends and families at your next garden party.

Cheers to that!
