RB Leipzig will look to bounce back this weekend after a slip-up on the return of the Bundesliga last Saturday.

Julian Nagelsmann's side are now seven points adrift of league leaders Bayern Munich after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Freiburg.

But with the reigning champions and Borussia Dortmund meeting mid-week, there should be opportunity to close the gap.

But Leipzig cannot afford to drop more points and will hope to shake off a bit of ring rust when they take on Mainz - who resumed their campaign with a 2-2 draw away to Koln last Sunday.

Date, kick-off time and venue

The match kicks off at 2:30pm BST at the Opel Arena on Sunday, May 24.

Prediction

Mainz 1-2 Leipzig: Of the two sides it was Leizpig who looked the far rustier as the season resumed last weekend. But with another week of training under their belts you expect them to look a little sharper this time out.

Timo Werner had a solid afternoon against Freiburg without looking too threatening in front of goal - a slicker performance should create those opportunities for him.
