Man charged with murder after teen stabbed to death near Crossharbour DLR station in east London

A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder following stabbing near a DLR station in east London.

Muhammed Samir Uddin, 19, was pronounced dead at Alexia Square, near Crossharbour Docklands Light Railway station in Poplar after an attack on Friday.

A second man, 18, who was also found stabbed remained in hospital.

He was in a serious but stable condition, British Transport Police said.

Hamza Hoque, of Manchester Road, Tower Hamlets, has been remanded in custody.

The 21-year-old is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
