Man City dealt huge Rodri injury blow as fresh update emerges after Arsenal drama
Manchester City have been dealt a major blow after reports emerged about the injury sustained by Rodri in the draw with Arsenal.
The Gunners were forced to settle for a point in the 2-2 draw with City on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League. Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhaes scored the goals for Arsenal which were almost enough to see Mikel Arteta's side earn all three points after Erling Haaland opened the scoring.
However, John Stones equalised for City in the eighth minute of stoppage time to see Arsenal drop two points in the final minute of the game. The match also saw City handed an injury blow after Rodri was substituted in the 21st minute with a suspected knee injury, where he was subsequently replaced by Mateo Kovacic.
According to ESPN, Rodri is now expected to miss the remainder of the Premier League season with a knee injury in a huge blow to the Gunners' title rivals. It has been reported that the Spain international has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury and is not expected to play any further part in City's season.

Rodri had already missed the majority of the season for City before taking on Arsenal at the weekend. The draw with the Gunners was the first start for the Euro 2024 winner and now it seems he will be spending the remainder of the campaign on the sidelines with the injury.
Arsenal will still have hopes of beating City to the Premier League title this season despite failing to get all three points on Sunday. After taking on Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup in midweek, Arteta's side will face Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium in the return of Premier League football this weekend.
