Man City XI vs Arsenal: Confirmed team news and lineup - Gundogan and De Bruyne both start
Pep Guardiola has a double midfield injury boost for of this afternoon’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.
In-form midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is fit after missing the midweek win over Everton, while Kevin de Bruyne made his return from injury as a substitute in that game - and both start at the Emirates.
Gundogan has been arguably the best player in the country in recent weeks, scoring 11 goals in his last 11 appearances.
John Stones and Oleksandr Zinchenko were both unused substitutes against the Toffees and come into the back four, while Sergio Aguero is on the bench once more, with Guardiola determined not to rush his return.
That means Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling play in attack, though in a strikerless system the likes of De Bruyne, Gundogan and Bernardo Silva will also be tasked with getting into the box.
Man City XI: Ederson, Joao Cancelo, Dias, Stones, Zinchenko, Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Mahrez, De Bruyne, Sterling
Subs: Walker, Gabriel Jesus, Aguero, Steffen, Laporte, Rodri, Torres, Mendy, Foden
