Man dies after being seriously injured in incident at Camden casino

A man has died after being seriously injured during an incident at a casino in north London.

Police and paramedics were scrambled to the venue in Camden High Street shortly after 10pm on Tuesday.

They found a man, thought to be in his 40s, suffering severe injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Joshua Lyons, 19, told how he saw the victim laying in the doorway of City Slots as paramedics fought to save his life.

He told the Standard: “The door was open and you could see the victim laying by the doorway.

“Witnesses were all quite shaken up.”

Footage from the scene showed police vehicles lining the street as a cordon was put in place.

A man was arrested at the scene and has been taken into police custody to be questioned.

Officers were working to establish the victim's identity and inform his next of kin.
