Man United make decision and identify alternative target amid Aston Villa transfer links
Manchester United, linked with a move for Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey before the transfer window closes on Monday evening, have reportedly turned their attentions to Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku and Bayern Munich starlet Mathys Tel.
Villa are expected to confirm the signing of Marcus Rashford on a loan basis for the remainder of the season ahead of Monday night's transfer window deadline, after he was informed that he wouldn't have any part to play under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. They'll pay the majority of Rashford's sizeable wages for the rest of the campaign.
While that deal progresses, there was talk that United might've explored a deal to bring Bailey to Manchester in his place; United are keen on adding another forward, particularly with Rashford having moved on, and Jamaican attacker Bailey was mooted as a potential option.

Villa, though, have already permitted Jaden Philogene and Emiliano Buendia to leave the club this month and while they've added Donyell Malen and are getting Rashford, it's uncertain whether they'd entertain the idea of sanctioning another departure. The Mirror report, at any rate, that Bailey isn't on United's radar before tomorrow's deadline.
Chelsea forward Nkunku - who is eager for more first-team minutes having found himself down the pecking order under Enzo Maresca - would appear to be another possibility for United, alongside Bayern teenager Tel, who is also liked by Arsenal.
