Man United 'offered' chance to sign two Juventus stars as £50m transfer stance emerges
Manchester United earned a first win under Ruben Amorim on Thursday night after beating Bodo/Glimt 3-2.
The Reds are now 12th in the Europa League League Phase after five games and a point off automatic qualification for the knock out stages. And there is plenty of work to be done in the transfer market to shape United's squad into Amorim's image.
Among the players being linked include former Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian joined Juventus in the summer but has struggled to adapt to life in Turin with just nine appearances across all competitions.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve’s sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, travelled to England this week for the club’s Champions League tie against Villa on Wednesday evening. He is also said to have used the trip to gauge Premier League interest in Luiz and 23-year-old midfielder Nicolo Fagioli.

It is claimed that Giuntoli has approached both United and Manchester City to discuss potential deals involving Luiz and Fagioli in the upcoming January transfer window. Fagioli has also struggled to secure playing time this season, starting just six of Juve’s 18 games in all competitions so far.
Elsewhere, it is claimed that it will take a ‘monster’ offer for Atalanta to sell key midfielder Ederson. The Italians are said to want at least €60million (£50m) for his signature in January.
TEAMtalk claim that both United and City have spoken to the player’s entourage to sound out the possibility of a January move. They add that Ederson has expressed interest in moving to the Premier League but a summer transfer is preferred as he wants to help Atalanta have a successful season.
