Man United star slammed for Ipswich goal as reason for Andre Onana and Patrick Dorgu mix-up clear
Former Manchester United academy product Robbie Savage laid the blame squarely at Andre Onana after Ipswich Town took an early lead at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
United started the game slowly with the away side desperate for points to boost their survival hopes. The Tractor Boys were given the ideal headstart in their quest after a disastrous mix-up at the back.
After a long ball forwards, Patrick Dorgu looked to have beaten Jaden Philogene to the ball. However, as Dorgu looked to pass the ball back to Onana, he found the goalkeeper in no man's land and pushed his pass beyond the shotstopper.

Philogene then simply had to knock the ball into an open goal to give Ipswich the lead. With the Old Trafford crowd dismayed at a terrible start, Savage gave his verdict on who was at fault - saying the goalkeeper should have stayed back and been ready to receive a pass.
Speaking on TNT Sports, the ex-midfielder said: "I'd love to hear Rio's [Ferdinand] view as a defender in that situation. The defender has got it under control, I don't think there is a reason why Onana should come out there.
"He should be talking, you know, just lay it back to him on his right foot then he can clear it. I don't know why he is coming.
"The defender is in control, Onana stay in your goal." United managed to return to level terms just after 20 minutes when Bruno Fernandes' free kick inadvertently was turned in by Ipswich captain Sam Morsy before Matthijs de Ligt put United ahead, to let both Onana and Dorgu off the hook.
