Manchester United are running out of time to sign a striker before the January transfer window closes.

A host of No.9s have already been linked with signing for United before the deadline. The Reds have until 11pm on Monday night to complete their transfer business before they are able to strengthen their squad once again in the summer.

One player who has been linked with signing for United is Victor Osimhen. The Nigeria international is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, but continues to be the centre of rumours that he could be on the move once again, with Old Trafford mentioned as a potential destination.

Reports last summer stated that there is a break clause in the loan that allows Osimhen to join a new club during the current transfer window if a suitable offer arrives. United are one club being linked with signing Osimhen, and the reality of Galatasaray's situation could hand them a boost.

While clubs in England, including United, have until 11pm to sign players before the transfer windows. Transfer windows in England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France all close tonight, but that is not the case in other countries across Europe. Galatasaray and the rest of the Super Lig in Turkey can sign players until their transfer window closes next week on February 11.

One aspect that United may find difficult in signing a striker is the selling club may want to bring in a replacement. If that was to be the case for Galatasaray, the Turkish club will have more than a week to sign a player to replace Osimhen.

Osimhen is not the only striker to be linked with a move to United. Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel was a loan target for the Reds, only for the striker to choose to join Tottenham Hotspur on loan until the end of the season.
