Man Utd right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is prepared to stay at ‘fight’ to get into Erik ten Hag’s team next season, according to reports.

The former England under-21 international swapped Crystal Palace for the Red Devils in 2019 in a £50m deal after impressing in his 46 appearances for the Eagles.

Since then, Wan-Bissaka has played 126 times for Man Utd over three seasons but has failed to live up to the expectations of fans.

His playing time was reduced last term as he only played in 20 of 38 Premier League matches for Man Utd after only missing seven games over the previous two campaigns.

And there has been a lot of speculation that the Red Devils will allow him to leave the club this summer either on loan or permanently.

A report at the beginning of this month insisted that Ten Hag had put both Wan-Bissaka and Brandon Williams up for sale, while another claimed Crystal Palace are ‘firm favourites’ to land Wan-Bissaka on loan.

And now Sky Sports have revealed the latest, they claim:

‘Aaron Wan-Bissaka is prepared to fight for his place next season but is at the stage of his career where he wants regular first-team football.

‘A number of Premier League clubs are interested, but there have been no official bids tabled.

‘United would consider suitable offers – but all parties are relaxed about the situation as he has two years left on his contract. The club hold an option for a further year.’

Speaking at the end of May, former Premier League striker Noel Whelan claimed that a move Roma this summer could suit Wan-Bissaka.

“I think somewhere like Roma,” Whelan told Football Insider. “I think he suits an Italian style because he is very defensively minded.

“Jose Mourinho would know him so something like that might work for Wan-Bissaka. Other than that, I don’t know. You are looking at the middle of the Premier League table.

“I don’t think he will go to you Liverpool or Man City or Tottenham. Conte wants an attacking full-back and he isn’t that. I think that’s the issue and why he might struggle to find a club.”
