Man Utd next manager odds as Irishman high on list to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford
Kieran McKenna is among the favourites with the bookies to replace Erik ten Hag as Manchester United manager.
The Dutchman was sacked as United boss on Monday after a dismal run of results which sees the Red Devils currently lying in 14th in the Premier League table after their fourth league loss of the season to West Ham on Sunday.
They have won only one of their last eight games in all competitions and are 12 points behind leaders Man City in the table.

Former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is the favourite to replace his countryman, who he has worked under at Old Trafford since the summer, as manager, with Barclona great Xavi Hernandez, ex-England boss Gareth Southgate and Sporting Lisbon manager Rúben Amorim among some of the other names high on the list.
Just below them on the list of odds are Brentford boss Thomas Frank, Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick, ex-Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter. And although some United fans have been calling for Roy Keane to get the job, it is another Irishman in the shape of Ipswich boss McKenna, who comes next.
The Fermanagh native has been in charge at Portman Road since December 2021, but previously worked as a first-team coach at United under Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Ralf Rangnick. He was also coach of both United and Tottenham Hotspur's U18s sides.
A number of clubs, including United, were reported to be interested in appointing McKenna at the end of last season, but the 38-year-old opted to stay with Ipswich.
He said at the time: “I'm aware of it. It's part and parcel of success, there's been interest from other clubs and it's a short career as a manager. It's right to consider things but I'm so, so happy with the decision I've made.
“I am extremely proud to have signed a new contract with the club. We have enjoyed incredible success together over the last two seasons and I'm excited to have the opportunity and responsibility of leading this fantastic club into its first season in the Premier League in 22 years."
Ipswich are currently 18th in the Premier League table on four points, seven behind United, having drawn four of their opening nine league games. They have yet to record a win in the top flight this season.
The Tractor Boys host Leicester this weekend before a trip to North London to face Spurs eight days later and following next month's international break, they take on Man Utd at Portman Road.
