Man Utd have been tipped to splash out ‘upwards’ of £350m on new signings next summer and two could come from the same Premier League side, while seven rumoured exits will help balance the books, per reports.

What the Red Devils’ summer window will look like may depend on if and when the Glazer family are bought out. British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani both lodged official bids prior to last Friday’s ‘soft’ deadline.

There has been talk the Glazers may yet retain majority control if they only sanction a partial sale. However, any outside investment will be welcomed ahead of what promises to be a blockbuster summer at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag has wasted no time turning United’s ship around. They’re hunting trophies on four fronts and retain hope of interjecting themselves into Arsenal and Man City’s scrap for the Premier League title.

The Dutchman was given well over £200m to spend last summer, though several areas in his squad are still to be addressed.

Centre-forward is the primary position and confirmed targets Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane could each cost north of £100m.

But according to a remarkable report from FootballTransfers, a £100m+ outlay could be just the tip of the iceberg for United later this year.

The online outlet state ‘there is an expectancy’ United could spend ‘£350m upwards’ on new arrivals.

Seven Man Utd exits to clear path

To help balance the books, no fewer than seven first-teamers could be axed. The article lists Dean Henderson, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams, Fred, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial as being on the chopping block.

The Manchester Evening News previously reported Maguire and Martial – as well as Alex Telles (currently loaned to Sevilla) have all been put up for sale.

Henderson could join Nottingham Forest outright if his loan spell continues to prove a success. Brandon Williams has barely got a look-in despite repeated pleas to Ten Hag.

McTominay, meanwhile, is the subject of a ‘sustained’ push for his signature by Newcastle. A fourth source recently tipped the Magpies to make a move at season’s end.

How many of the seven actually do leave remains to be seen, but if the likes of Fred, McTominay and Van de Beek are axed, new midfielders will be required.

Man Utd hunting Leicester pair

On that front, FootballTransfers add Man Utd are sizing up a double Leicester raid for Youri Tielemans and James Maddison.

The pair have been shining lights for the Foxes in recent years and losing both would be a bitter pill to swallow for manager Brendan Rodgers.

Tielemans’ exit looks the most guaranteed given he’ll be a free agent at the end of the season. The Belgian has proven himself a classy midfield operator and would be a fine addition to Ten Hag’s engine room.

Maddison, meanwhile, has long been overdue a move to a club that can showcase him in the Champions League.

The 26-year-old is a bona fide creative force and has racked up 14 goal contributions in 19 matches for Leicester this term. That’s doubled down on his undoubted talents after he returned figures of 18 goals and 12 assists in 53 matches last season.

Newcastle will be in the mix in the event Leicester greenlight a sale. They’ve bid for Maddison twice before and are expected to try a third time come the summer.

However, Man Utd will now provide top tier competition for the playmaker, per FootballTransfers.

A permanent move for Bayern Munich loanee Marcel Sabitzer could also be explored. Other options include Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, though TEAMtalk exclusively learned Man Utd are way behind in the race to sign the latter.

On the subject or where else the reported £350m war-chest could be spent, new additions could come in the form an Aaron Wan-Bissaka upgrade, a Maguire replacement and a starting centre-forward.

An MLS stand-out is also under consideration…
