France Football claim that Manchester United are in 'advanced talks' to sign Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva this summer.
Silva is one of number of Monaco stars tipped to leave the club once the current season finishes after enjoying a standout campaign in France.
Monaco as a collective have emerged as one of Europe's most exciting young sides this season, and find themselves vying for the Ligue 1 title with PSG and are about to go toe-to-toe with Italian giants Juventus in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
While Kylian M'Bappe and Radamel Falcao have stolen most of the headlines, Silva is arguably the most creative talent in their ranks, and France Football (via Get French Football) claim that Jose Mourinho and United are keen to bring that kind of talent to Old Trafford.
Bernardo Silva is in advanced contact with Manchester United for a €50m move, according to France Football https://t.co/tgxf8TIVxZ— Get French Football (@GFFN) 25 April 2017
The Portuguese star and his representatives are allegedly already in contact with Red Devils officials over a €50m move that would be facilitated this summer.
Little else has been revealed about the situation so far, but if there is any truth to the story then the United faithful certainly have a player on their hands.
Silva recently put in a fine performance against United's bitter rivals Manchester City in the Champions League last 16, proving he'd probably be more than capable of cutting it in the Premier League.
Silva, who can play on the wing or as a number 10, is expected to leave Monaco along with Benjamin Mendy, Djibril Sidibe, Kylian M'Bappe and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
