Keeping everyone happy is always the curse of a manager lucky enough to have all of his best footballers fit and ready for action. Daniel Farke welcomed Largie Ramazani back into the fold last night, with his other three options already scrapping for every second of pitch time they can get.

Leeds United’s win over Luton Town was only the third occasion this season Farke has been able to use all four in one game. It was Daniel James’s turn to be rotated out of the line-up, only three days after setting up three goals in Wales.

The manager would later explain Luton’s low block and a busy six days with three matches as his rationale for benching his number seven. James, as Wilfried Gnonto did on Sunday, had to swallow it and be ready for when his time came.

“I'm feeling really good,” he said. “The manager spoke to me before the game and I've always got to be happy with his decisions.

“I want to play every game, but we've got a great squad here. The way we rotate players is great. You've got to be ready for that. We all know the manager, it's up to him.”

Injury disrupted the start of James’s season, cutting him down straight after a goal at Hillsborough, but he’s gathering momentum once again. A gorgeous sprint and lob on Wednesday night was the mark of a man riding high on confidence.

James is just doing what he can to make it harder for Farke and was delighted to see Ramazani is back to turn the screw a little more on the German.

“He makes the decisions and we've got a lot of players back fit now,” he said. “It's always making it hard for him to make them decisions, but in them games, it's always nice to come on as well.

“It’s something a little bit different and you’ve just got to be ready to perform. It's nice to see Largie back again tonight. He’s another player that can add a lot to the team and the manager’s doing well to keep everyone happy.”
